Chickens

Chickens live in a converted mobile coop (built on an old manure spreader) that serves as both shelter and fertilizer spreader. The coop is moved seasonally to refresh bedding and compost buildup. Birds free-range across 35 acres, supporting pest control and spreading nutrients as they forage naturally.

No antibiotics, no vaccines. Chickens live outdoors with natural sunlight and airflow, reducing disease risk. We maintain strong genetics through careful breeding and handle eggs directly on-farm. Coop design ensures dry roosting and composting bedding that doesn’t require daily cleaning.

High-quality, local non-GMO feed plus free access to bugs, grass, and kitchen scraps. Diet diversity leads to better egg nutrition. Chickens chase cow pies, spread seeds, and scratch through bedding to manage compost. We’ve selectively bred our flock with heritage roosters for vitality.
