Sheep graze in temporary paddocks that rotate every 1–2 weeks. Long-term plans include daily rotation for even better soil impact. They have access to open pasture all winter long, and also can stay dry in an odor-free lean-to thanks to carbon layering. Their presence on the land is crucial for topsoil regeneration and erosion prevention.

No chemical dewormers unless strictly needed. Instead, we monitor health and cull weaker genetics over time. The lean-to structure is well-ventilated, minimizing sickness. Clean bedding and access to forage support immunity. Lambs are born on pasture to begin life in a natural, low-stress environment.

Year-round access to pasture grasses and free-feed hay in winter. Winter foraging is encouraged by leaving grasses grow long into late fall. Advice from a local master shepherd has guided our feeding plan to promote healthy rumens and reduce hay dependancy. For the first month of lactation, we use a specific organic grain mixture from HyView feeds to support the health of the ewe/lamb pair.
